2023 SPWLA Pre-Conference Golf Tournament
Date: Friday, June 9, 2023
Start Time: Breakfast 8-9am. Shotgun Start time 9am.
Fees: $150/player or $500/team (4 players with your choice of team name)
Format: 4-player scramble.
Location: The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, 600 Margaritaville, Park Way, Montgomery, TX 77356.
Join us for our pre-conference SPWLA Golf Tournament by testing your skills on the golf course. This will prepare you for the dynamic high stakes Q&A Sessions the following week where no holds are barred. Additionally, there will be prizes for answering petrophysics themed questions on the course. A prize will be awarded to the team with the most correct answers, other teams get strokes removed from their score sheet.
Peacefully perched by the shores of Lake Conroe, The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort features a beautiful 18-hole by the water. Redesigned in 2007, our friendly resort course offers challenging dog legs, several risk/reward holes, subtle breaks, and true-roll putting surfaces. The fairways meander through a landscape of tall pines, sandy beaches, and cascading waterfalls that create one of the most enjoyable golf experiences in the State of Texas. A putting green, driving range, club rentals and PGA-certified golf instruction encourage players to perfect their game. From weekend games to group tournaments, The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort is the perfect choice for the golfer who can solve Archie’s equation.
Included: Breakfast, 18-hole scramble, team registration, lunch, awards ceremony, happy hour and raffle prizes.

Individual entries will be grouped with other individual golfers to make a foursome team. Entries are limited and will be accepted on a first-in basis.
To guarantee a spot, you must register on the SPWLA website and pay with a credit card. You do NOT have to attend the conference to play the tournament.

8:45 pm – Players on cart.
9:00 am – Shotgun start (South Course)
2:00 pm – Open buffet and bar for 1 hour immediately following play (Domestic Beer and Wells only)
2:30 pm – Door prizes and awards presentation
